Hybrid Model Helps this IBD Recruit Advisor Team

One of the nation’s largest independent broker dealers, Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE: “LTS”), announced yesterday that Dana Webb and Curren Webb have joined their ranks.

Previously with Manarin Investment Counsel, Ltd of Omaha, NE, the Webb’s opened Fortress Wealth Advisors (FWA) in January and have transitioned about $100 million in client assets thus far.

“We are very excited about the successful launch of our first quarter as Fortress Wealth Advisors,” said Curren Webb.

FWA offers commission and fee based products.

Advisory business will be conducted through Arbor Point Advisors, LLC, a joint venture created by Securities America and NorthStar Financial Services Group, LLC in July 2013 to “fill the gap” for independent advisors searching for hybrid solutions that offer multiple custodial solutions.

Advisors have the choice of TD Ameritrade, Fidelity Institutional, or Schwab to custody client assets.

“With this solid foundation for our business, and our relationship with Securities America, we look forward to accelerated growth in the months and years to come. We have a sophisticated and growing clientele and wanted a firm that could offer next level resources, support and oversight,” added Curren Webb.

Dana Webb has been in financial services for about 25 years and hosts an investment education weekly radio show and also taught a wealth building seminar for over 20 years.

“Advisors like Dana and Curren Webb reflect the mission behind our approach,” said Curtis Reed, president of Arbor Point Advisors. “We look forward to working with them to achieve their goals, and most importantly, the goals and objectives of their clients. Because we offer the back office support for productivity and managing the regulatory compliance burdens facing today’s advisors, Fortress’ primary focus can remain on serving their clients’ best interests.”
