Hines Appoints New President of Hines France

One of the largest privately owned real estate firms in the world, Hines, has appointed Patrick Albrand as president of Hines France. Mr. Albrand takes the place of Olivier de Dampierre, who has assumed the role of senior advisor in charge of major development projects and president of the subsidiary, Hines Holding France II.

“After 20 very successful years for Hines in France, we are excited to be announcing the reorganization of our team in France, with leadership being assumed by Patrick Albrand,” said Michael Topham, CEO of Hines Europe/Middle East Region. “We are also very pleased that Olivier deDampierre has agreed to stay on board to supervise large development projects. The firm is appreciative of Olivier’s excellent work at Hines France over the past two decades.”

Mr. Albrand, who has been with Hines since 1995, will supervise investment management and development activity while leading the Hines France team with the help of Patrick Bosque, managing director—property development and Xavier Musseau, managing director—investment management.

Hines France currently manages over $1 billion in assets, and has more than 300,000 square meters of office space under building permit, as well as 100,000 square meters under construction. Since its formation in 1995, the company has acquired or developed over one million square meters of office buildings for Hines-managed funds and institutional investors. Some notable properties include EDF Tower, GDF Tower, and the Carpe Diem Tower.

Mr. Albrand has 25 years of experience in the real estate sector. He served as Senior Researcher in the Applied Science division of Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley, California from 1983 to 1987 and as Director of Development for Stim Entreprises in the Bouygues Group from 1989 to 1994. Mr. Albrand earned his Master of Architecture from the Beaux Arts Architectural School in Paris in 1980, and his Master of Real Estate from Columbia University in New York in 1988.
