Highlands REIT Appoints Chief Operating Officer

The board of Highlands REIT Inc., a publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust, has appointed Robert Lange to serve as chief operating officer of the company.

The board of Highlands REIT Inc., a publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust, has appointed Robert Lange to serve as chief operating officer of the company.

Lange will continue to serve as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of the REIT, positions he has held since June 2016. In addition to his duties as general counsel and secretary, his responsibilities will include various operational functions, including strategic planning, non-core asset management, investor relations, certain human resources roles, as well as property insurance and corporate insurance.

Prior to joining Highlands REIT, Lange served as vice president, head corporate counsel and assistant secretary at InvenTrust, the REIT’s former parent company. Prior to joining InvenTrust in 2014, he practiced law at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.

Lange holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a juris doctor degree from the University of Chicago.

Highlands REIT is a non-traded REIT that was spun-off from InvenTrust Properties Corp. (formerly Inland American Real Estate Trust) in April 2016. The company oversees a 20-property portfolio comprised of office, industrial, and retail assets, correctional facilities, and unimproved land, as of September 30, 2020.
