HD Vest’s Largest Independent Advisor Adds Three to Financial Planning and Tax Planning Teams

Wealth management firm Wymer Brownlee, the largest independent advisor affiliate of HD Vest Financial Services, has expanded its financial planning and tax planning teams with the hiring of Shawn Bean as tax advisor, Deanna Conway as tax coordinator, and Trey Whitley as financial strategist.

Wealth management firm Wymer Brownlee, the largest independent advisor affiliate of HD Vest Financial Services, has expanded its financial planning and tax planning teams with the hiring of Shawn Bean as tax advisor, Deanna Conway as tax coordinator, and Trey Whitley as financial strategist.

Wymer Brownlee serves high net worth individuals, families and business owners and provides wealth management, financial strategies, tax planning and preparation, business accounting and business consulting services.

As a tax advisor, Bean will determine each client’s tax liability and collaborate with in-house wealth advisors to maximize tax benefits in conjunction with their long-term financial plans. He will collect and analyze clients’ financial information to prepare federal, state, local and special tax returns. Bean received his undergraduate degree and Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Deanna Conway and Trey Whitley

Conway will support Wymer Brownlee’s advisors as a tax coordinator, serving as the client liaison, maintaining updated client databases and processing tax returns and other financial statements. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and previously worked for Conoco Inc. as a senior title analyst.

As a financial strategist, Whitley prepares analyses for wealth management issues ranging from estate planning and insurance to debt management, tax planning and other financial strategies. Whitley earned his undergraduate degree in physical education and athletic training from Oklahoma State University and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and master’s degree in energy management from Oklahoma City University.

Wymer Brownlee recently hired Craig Riffel as general counsel and expanded its capabilities to offer clients access to concierge legal services for business and financial planning support.
