Hartman Hires Vice President of Institutional Sales

Hartman Income REIT Management hires Stephen Ternois as vice president of institutional sales.

Hartman Income REIT Management Inc., a sponsor of publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trusts, has hired Stephen Ternois as vice president of institutional sales. In his new role, he will lead the company’s capital raising efforts by expanding family office relationships and providing capital formation guidance.

Ternois has experience in capital formation, acquisition underwriting, and sourcing for commercial real estate projects. Before joining Hartman, he served as the associate director of investor relations at Alpha Capital Partners where he spearheaded capital formation initiatives, built an investor relations team, and raised more than $170 million in 18 months for six funds, the company said. Earlier in his career, Ternois was director of acquisitions and investor relations at CRS Realty and served as principal for business development at Strike Price Properties LLC.

“We are delighted to have Stephen and his well-rounded capital markets expertise added to our team,” said Al Hartman, president and chief executive officer. “He will be a key asset as we begin raising institutional capital from the family office channel.”

Ternois holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and management with an energy specialization from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

In other Hartman news, the company recently hired Keith Roddy as president of capital markets.

Hartman has experience acquiring, owning, managing, and leasing commercial office, retail, light industrial and warehouse properties located in Texas. Since 1983, Hartman and its affiliated entities have sponsored 24 programs and acquired interests in more than 90 real assets totaling approximately $815 million as of December 31, 2020.
