Griffin Capital Hires New Associate VP of Due Diligence

Non-traded REIT sponsor, Griffin Capital Corporation (Griffin), recently announced that Elizabeth Samson joined its team this month as the firm’s new Associate Vice President, Due Diligence.

In her new role, Ms. Samson will coordinate due diligence for Griffin’s investment products that are available through the broker-dealer channel. In addition, she will be responsible for conducting research, initial credit analysis, and ongoing monitoring of corporate tenants who occupy Griffin Capital’s real estate spaces. Ms. Samson will work at Griffin’s headquarters in El Segundo, California.

“Elizabeth brings very strong experience and a unique skill set to Griffin Capital and we couldn’t be more pleased that she has agreed to join our team,” said Dustin Zachmeyer, Griffin Capital Corporation’s Vice President, Due Diligence. “Ms. Samson will be a very valuable asset to our team as we continue to grow our investment platform and further expand our relationships in the independent broker-dealer channel,” he added.

Before joining Griffin, Ms. Samson served as Manager of Investor Information Group with Och-Ziff Capital Management Group based in New York. Prior to that, she was a Senior Audit Associate with KPMG from 2004 through 2009.

Griffin currently owns, sponsors, co-sponsors and/or manages, a portfolio consisting of approximately 26 million square feet throughout 32 states and approximately 1 million square feet located in the United Kingdom, representing approximately $4.9 billion in asset value.
