Four Springs Capital Markets, a financial services firm that focuses on raising capital for 1031 exchanges and other alternative investments, has hired Hall Jones as senior vice president of business development. In his new role, Jones will collaborate with the company’s senior management team on corporate strategy and growth initiatives.

Jones joins Four Springs Capital Markets after a more than 20-year career at AEW Capital Management, a real estate investment advisor with property holdings and securities across North America, Europe and Asia. In his most recent role as portfolio manager, he was part of the team that oversaw the firm’s growth in real estate investment trust assets under management from less than $1 billion in 1999 to a peak of nearly $10 billion, the company said.

“Hall has an impressive financial background and knowledge of the U.S. REIT sector and capital markets,” said Eric Paul, president of Four Springs Capital Markets. “We are confident that his contributions will help accelerate the growth of our platform.”

In other Four Springs news, last week, the company announced the hiring of Justin Tietema as senior vice president of sales.

Since 2009, Four Springs Capital Markets has raised capital from financial intermediaries, high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors for 1031 programs, private placements and REIT equity and debt investments.
