The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has permanently barred Doug M. McKelvey from the securities industry for refusing to provide information and documents requested by FINRA.

According to McKelvey’s BrokerCheck report, the FINRA investigation was triggered by his termination from Morgan Stanley due to concerns regarding his unauthorized activity and misappropriation of client funds from client accounts held by his relatives.

McKelvey began his career at UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2002, where he worked for six years before joiing CitiGroup Global Markets in 2008. He began his employment with Morgan Stanley in 2009.

As a result of the FINRA decision, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards has issued an automatic interim suspension order suspending McKelvey’s right to use the CFP certification marks.
