FactRight LLC, a provider of financial due diligence and risk management services for the alternative investment industry, has hired John Paliotta as vice president of business development.

Paliotta’s responsibilities include promoting solutions for risk management and due diligence systems, providing guidance on new and existing alternative investment products through support and training, and identifying opportunities to provide sponsor data to support industry needs.

FactRight said that it created the position to support small to mid-size firms and advisors in implementing risk management best practices and due diligence processes.

“It’s our mission not only to protect firms and advisors in the event of a regulatory audit, but to also ensure they have the actionable data they need to build and protect client relationships through alternative investments,” said FactRight president Scott Smith.

Paliotta has 15 years of alternative investment experience in the broker-dealer channel, as well as in various leadership and operational roles in the investment industry. He previously served as vice president and sales desk manager for Realty Capital Securities from October of 2011 to December 2016 and managed more than 60 internal wholesalers. Prior to his role at RCS, he was the former VP of sales at Behringer Harvard.

Paliotta holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University, as well as FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses.

Established in 2006, FactRight and its affiliated entities provide third-party due diligence, compliance, risk management, and consulting services for financial firms looking to invest in alternative investments.
