Emerson Equity LLC, a full-service brokerage firm, has hired two new executives in its latest expansion; Carolyn Jenkins as chief process officer and Marlene Arteta as chief content officer.
Jenkins will spearhead the due diligence review, research, and information retention process for new and existing offerings and will also direct the onboarding process for new Emerson registered representatives.
Jenkins’ career has included roles with telecom and real estate companies, and several financial services firms, including serving as operations manager at Wealthbrook Advisors. Most recently she handled operations and compliance for Sandlapper Securities, a wealth manager and broker-dealer in South Carolina where she established firmwide policies for regulatory issues and provided ad-hoc support for more than 100+ registered representatives.
In the newly created role of chief content officer, Arteta will oversee all marketing content initiatives across multiple platforms and formats. Among her goals are to develop content programs to help Emerson representatives’ market and brand their practices to help expand sales, drive engagement, increase retention and expand lead programs, the company said.
During her career in the financial services arena, Arteta has worked in a number of marketing roles including director of retail marketing with the Chicago Board Options Exchange and as director of communications with the Tenant-In-Common Association (TICA), the predecessor of the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA).
Most recently she was chief marketing officer for Sandlapper Capital Investments, a group of financial service companies based in Greenville, South Carolina.
Arteta received her master’s degree in financial services from DePaul University and her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses.
