Croatan Expands Fundraising Team With SVP of Capital Markets Hire

Croatan Investments, a rental housing investment manager for private wealth and institutional capital, has hired Wink Ewing as senior vice president of capital markets. Ewing is primarily focused on building and expanding the firm’s private wealth investor base and overseeing the growth of Croatan All Access Fund LP, a perpetual pooled investment fund launched in 2022.

“As a broker, Wink has been a close friend of Croatan for many years,” said Ben Bartlett, chief operating officer at Croatan. “With decades in the industry, he has many long-lasting relationships across the Mid-Atlantic markets, and we’re proud to have him represent Croatan Investments and our All Access Fund.”

Ewing has over two decades of commercial real estate experience and more than $4 billion in transactions. He was most recently managing director at Northmarq from 2020 to 2024, where he grew the firm’s national multifamily investment sales platform. Previously, he spent more than eight years with Newmark Knight Frank and eight years with CBRE, where he specialized in multifamily transactions and structuring 1031 exchanges and was instrumental in forming the Central Virginia Multi-Housing Group.

Ewing received his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech and holds a Real Estate Finance and Investment certificate from New York University. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia and a member of Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate.

Over the summer, Croatan announced the addition of Jane Finch as vice president of asset management.
