CW Markets Group, a branch office of Orchard Securities - the capital markets division and wholesale distribution arm of Cottonwood Communities, has hired a senior vice president of capital markets to cover its Southeast territory

CW Markets Group, a branch office of Orchard Securities – the capital markets division and wholesale distribution arm of Cottonwood Communities, has hired David Pittman as senior vice president of capital markets to cover its southeast territory and increase the company’s overall presence within the registered investment adviser channel.

Based out of Atlanta, Pittman has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. For the past four years, he was the business leader for Strategic Blueprint, an RIA with an affiliation model and affiliate of the Strategic Financial Alliance. He led the growth of that organization from one office with $118 million in assets to 19 offices with $1.6 billion in assets.

Prior to that, Pittman held various sales and leadership roles while at Wells Real Estate Funds and FS Investments, focusing on both the wholesale and retail distribution of various alternative investment programs facilitated through his financial advisor and client relationships.

“We are thrilled to have David on board at Cottonwood and believe that his knowledge and years of experience in the industry make him a valuable asset to our team as we look to strengthen and expand our relationships in the southeastern states and RIAs nationally,” said Eric Marlin, executive vice president of capital markets at CW Markets Group.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 registrations and is a certified investment management analyst and chartered alternative investment analyst.

David also serves on the board of directors for ADISA and is co-chair of its RIA Task Force.
