Commonwealth Adds $600 Million Ex-Lincoln Pair to Its Aegis Affiliate

Commonwealth Financial Network added Jacksonville, Fla.-based Aegis Consulting to its network of affiliated advisers in 2023. Eighteen months later, Aegis nearly doubled its client assets to almost $2 billion and has grown its adviser team from nine to 17, with its newest additions, Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano, CFP.
Together, they brought nearly $600 million in client assets to Aegis.
“We are committed to supporting fast-growing enterprises and are honored to now include Aegis offices led by Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano,” said Becca Hajjar, managing principal and chief business development officer. “When Aegis joined us last year, we were thrilled to start providing the enterprise-level support they sought to help fulfill their national growth strategy. Whether advisers want to join us directly or as part of an existing Commonwealth affiliate, we’re honored to help support their transition.”
Like most of the Aegis team, O’Sickey and Solorzano were formerly affiliated with Osaic and its predecessor, Lincoln Financial Advisors. O’Sickey is based in Cleveland, and Solorzano is based in San Francisco.
“Mark and Paul are tremendous advisers and people, and we are excited to have them on the team,” said Alexander Harrison, managing partner of Aegis. “They, too, sought a best-fit corporate partner for their clients, staff, and practices and were attracted to Commonwealth’s culture, ownership structure, and award-winning service. By joining Aegis, they have the support and experience of our collective teams and the full resources of Commonwealth.”
Aegis Consulting serves more than 1,300 families from its offices in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Boynton Beach, Fla.; Reston, Va.; Cleveland; San Diego; and San Francisco.
“Our vision for growing Aegis was to build a national collective of like-minded advisers,” said Harrison. “We’ve been able to grow substantially because the combination of support, integrated technology, and wealth management tools that Commonwealth delivers pairs perfectly with the partnership values at Aegis. As our geographic footprint expands, we’ve taken steps to ensure that everyone stays connected, has fun, learns from one another, and feels part of our team.”
Commonwealth Financial Network provides financial advisers with holistic, integrated solutions that support business evolution, growth acceleration, and operational efficiency.
