Cole REITs CFO and Treasurer Resigns to Pursue Another Opportunity

Simon Misselbrook, the chief financial officer and treasurer of Cole’s non-traded REITs, resigned from the company, effective May 30, 2016. He is “pursuing another professional opportunity” according to Cole.

Misselbrook served as the CFO and treasurer of Cole Office & Industrial REIT, Cole Credit Property Trust IV, Cole Credit Property Trust V and Cole Real Estate Income Strategy since September 2014. Prior to the Cole REITs, he served as the treasurer of Vereit for seven months. From April 2007 to February 2014, Misselbrook served as the principal accounting officer of Cole Real Estate Investments.

The company intends to begin a search immediately for a new candidate to fill the position. However, if it is not filled by May 30, the board of directors is expected to appoint Michael Bartolotta, Vereit’s chief financial officer to serve as the interim principal financial officer until a successor is named. The company said that Misselbrook will work with his successor or Bartolotta to ensure a smooth transition of the company’s financial functions.
