Cole Corporate Income Trust Appoints New Executive VP, CFO, and Treasurer
Following the retirement of D. Kirk McAllaster Jr., Cole Corporate Income Trust announced earlier this month that Brian S. Block has been appointed executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of the company.
Block currently serves as executive vice president, chief financial officer, secretary and treasurer of American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (ARCP), parent company of Cole Capital.
Block has also previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of AR Capital, LLC (ARC) where he was responsible for various accounting and financial duties. Prior to this role, he served as chief financial officer of American Realty Capital Trust, Inc. from 2008 to 2012, as well as senior vice president and chief accounting officer of American Financial Realty Trust from 2002 to 2007.
Additionally, Block’s past experience includes working for Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen as a public accountant and he has extensive knowledge of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements and REIT tax compliance issues. Currently, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the REIT Committee and Financial Standards Subcommittee of the Investment Program Association.
Cole Corporate Income Trust is a non-listed REIT that focuses on investing in corporate properties such as distribution facilities, warehouses, and regional headquarters.
