CION Adds Nicholson and Hatibi to Sales Team

CION Investments, a manager of alternative investments, has hired Robert Nicholson and Andre Hatibi as senior vice presidents.

Before joining CION, Nicholson served as a senior managing director at The Commerce Group, a boutique financial services consulting firm. He previously served as senior vice president with Cole Capital where he headed the RIA and institutional divisions, and prior to Cole, he held wholesaling roles at Hines and Wells Real Estate. Nicholson holds MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Nicholson currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.

“As we expand our product offerings and continue expansion of our distribution capabilities, Rob’s vast experience and depth of knowledge across the intermediary channel will help us execute on various deliverables and channel opportunities,” added Mark Gatto, co-CEO of CION Investments.

Hatibi most recently served as senior vice president at S2K Financial where he assisted in the formation, development and launch of a start-up distribution company focused on alternative investments. Prior to S2K, he was senior vice president at Realty Capital Securities where he held various sales management positions, including national sales manager of the regional/wirehouse channel. Hatibi has also served in wholesaling positions at The Hartford and American Skandia/Prudential Annuities. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses.
