Chief Accounting Officer and Director Resign from Carey Watermark Investors 2

Carey Watermark Investors 2, a publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust sponsored by WP Carey (NYSE: WPC) and Watermark Capital Partners LLC, announced that Hisham Kader resigned from his position as chief accounting officer, but will continue to serve as the company’s chief financial officer.

Noah Carter will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer effective January 1, 2016.

Carter has served as controller of Carey Watermark Investors 2 since April 2015. He has also served as controller of Carey Watermark Investors Incorporated since April 2015. Before joining the company, Carter served as controller of American Realty Capital Hospitality Trust from December 2013 to April 2015. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of New York and a member of the chartered professional accountants of British Columbia. Carter holds a bachelor of commerce degree in accounting from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

In other company news, William Sales resigned from the board of directors and the other committees on which he serves. He did not resign due to any disagreement with the company. No replacement has been named.

Carey Watermark Investors 2 was formed to make investments primarily in the lodging and lodging-related sectors.
