CAIS Updates Designed to Accelerate Advisers Alts Adoption

Alternative investment platform CAIS unveiled a series of new trade capabilities this week that will be made available to over 2,000 wealth management firms. The updates are designed to simplify the alternative investment lifecycle for financial advisers.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new trade capabilities, designed with advisers at the core. Every feature has been thoughtfully crafted to simplify, scale, and streamline the alternative investment experience, empowering advisers to better serve their clients,” said Chris Zuczek, chief product officer at CAIS. “This next generation of features streamline the process, allowing advisers to manage multi-investment workflows and allocate to alternatives with fewer steps and greater efficiency.”

Features of the new experience include:

  • Streamlined, guided transaction workflow: Advisers gain access to a streamlined interface that brings every step of the subscription process into one user-friendly view.
  • Essential information only: Advisers can kick off transactions with only the most essential information, reducing the amount of data entry required and saving significant time.
  • Enhanced flexibility in order creation: Advisers can now create accounts in multiple stages along the pre-trade journey, offering more flexibility and ensuring that information is captured across various transactions.
  • Optimized for efficiency: Advisers can manage household-level information across multiple accounts with CAIS’ enhanced profile structure, minimizing redundancy.

This CAIS announcement was preceded by the launch of CAIS Compass, a portfolio construction tool that allows advisers to create and analyze asset allocations with alternative investments. Integrated within the CAIS platform, Compass enables advisers to select products from the CAIS Marketplace and initiate transactions within the platform.

Additionally, CAIS Advisors – a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-registered investment adviser also launched in the fall – assists those in the financial services industry with streamlining portfolio construction via a suite of tools and solutions.

In September 2024, CAIS expanded its alts offerings from well-known managers, such as Apollo, Ares Management, Bain Capital, Blue Owl, Davidson Kempner Capital Management, Franklin Templeton, KKR, Nuveen, Partners Group, Reverence Capital Partners, and Vista Equity Partners.

CAIS is an alternative investment platform for independent financial advisers. CAIS provides financial advisers with a broad selection of alternative investment strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, private debt, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes. Founded in 2009, CAIS supports over 50,000 advisers who oversee more than $6 trillion in end-client assets. Since its inception, CAIS has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and London.
