Buttonwood Due Diligence, a third-party due diligence firm that provides research and analysis on alternative investments on behalf of broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and family offices, has hired Blake Puster as the vice president of national accounts.

In his new role, Puster will be leading the business development functions of the firm and will initially focus on developing the outreach and cultivating relationships in the alternative investment industry.

Prior to joining Buttonwood, Puster was senior vice president at Moody Securities, where he was responsible for leading the sales and marketing activities for the Four Corners and Pacific Northwest regions.

His career in alternative investments began in 2004 and has spanned across numerous facets of the industry including capital raise, due diligence, acquisition/disposition underwriting, and market analytics. According to his LinkedIn page, during his career, Puster has served as a research analyst at CB Richard Ellis, a supply chain management analyst at MillerCoors, and an investment due diligence officer at Private Equity Group, among other roles.

“Blake’s experience and knowledge of the alternative investments industry from working with both sponsors and investment advisors, as well as his thorough understanding of the due diligence process, make him a valuable asset to the Buttonwood team,” said Steve Ogrin, co-owner and principal of Buttonwood.
