Bowman Law LLC, a third-party due diligence firm, has hired attorneys David Wegner and Arthur Loyd to expand its review of private placements of alternative investment products, including oil and gas offerings.
Wegner and Loyd have a combined 12 years of experience in alternative investment due diligence, including initial due diligence and ongoing coverage of Delaware statutory trusts; office, commercial, and residential real estate investment trusts; business development companies; oil and gas funds; opportunity zones; interval funds; and other private placements.
According to his LinkedIn profile, prior to joining Bowman, Wegner was a self-employed financial and legal securities due diligence analyst for both public and private offerings ranging in size from $5 million to $1.5 billion in capital raise.
Prior to joining the alternative investment arena, Wegner worked in healthcare, corporate, and transactional law. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a juris doctor from St. Louis University.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Lloyd served as general counsel and vice president of due diligence at Buttonwood Investment Services. His experience includes audit and regulatory compliance in oil and gas, as well as state and federal litigation. Lloyd holds a master’s degree in corporate finance and a juris doctor from University of Tulsa.
