Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I, Inc. Elects CFO
There’s a new chief in town at Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I, Inc. Its board of directors has elected Lisa Ross as chief financial officer.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Lisa as she assumes her new responsibilities,” said Michael O’Hanlon, chief executive officer of Behringer’s opportunity platform in a statement.
After joining the REIT in 2011, Ross quickly earned promotions to principle accounting officer by January 2012 and then senior vice president and treasurer in early 2013. She will continue serving in those positions in addition to the CFO role making her the company’s principal financial officer.
“Lisa has been a valued colleague to me and the company’s executive team for years. I am sure she will continue to make strong contributions to the success of our operations in her new role,” added O’Hanlon.
Prior to joining Behringer, Ross worked as the controller of The Homestead Group and McNeil Real Estate Management. Her duties consisted of financial reporting and overseeing investment funds of approximately $250 million and $1 billion.
Additionally, Ross’s past experience includes managing the financial investments for a private family wealth office from 2006 to 2010.
Ross earned her Master’s in management and administrative sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas along with her Bachelor’s in business administration from Baylor University.
Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I, Inc. is a public, non-listed REIT that closed to new investors in 2008 and is now in its disposition phase. Its portfolio currently consists of nine varying real estate investments.
