And the TOBY® Goes to….
A Class A office building owned by KBS Real Estate Investment Trust III (KBS REIT III) won The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Award.
The McEwen Building (McEwen) in Nashville, Tennessee earned the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Nashville’s TOBY® which is awarded based on quality of the building and its management.
Buildings are evaluated and judged on factors like community involvement, site management, and environmental policies and procedures.
“We are proud to have won this award,” said Allen Aldridge, SVP of KBS and asset manager of the building. “The TOBY Award is among the most prestigious in commercial real estate and speaks to the quality of this asset and to the quality of the DTZ property management team and on-site engineer.”
McEwen consists of 175,262 square-feet of Class A office space. It’s a seven-story building that boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of Cool Springs, an upscale development located on the edge of Nashville that includes luxury hotels, retail centers, business parks, condominiums, and restaurants.
As of February 20, 2015 KBS REIT III, a public, non-traded REIT, had raised gross offering proceeds of $1.3 billion. The REIT plans to terminate its offering Friday, May 29, 2015.
