1031 Capital Solutions Expands Team with Three New Appointments

1031 Capital Solutions, a financial services firm that focuses on providing tax-efficient real estate investments, has hired multiple professionals to facilitate the expansion of its sales and customer service efforts.

“We closed a record number of investments in 1031-qualified real estate programs last year and we are on pace for another banner year,” said Richard D. Gann, managing partner. “With our latest personnel additions we feel we are well positioned to serve our growing client base that is seeking to modify their portfolios with tax-efficient real estate investment strategies.”

Michael Wolff will serve as vice president of investments and will be responsible for educating and assisting clients regarding passive replacement solutions for 1031 exchanges. Wolff has 11 years of sales experience including roles with Pacific Oak Capital Markets and KBS Capital Markets Group syndicating real estate offerings. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and will be working from a new Denver-area office.

James Kloss was hired as a junior analyst in the San Diego office and will assist the firm’s managing partners in conducting due diligence on new investment programs. Kloss is an honor graduate of the Marine Corps’ non-commissioned officer professional development course and will graduate this May with a business administration degree from California State University at San Marcos after serving six years in the Marines.

Gladys Grier was appointed as an investment processor and will draw on administrative experience at Wells Fargo and other institutions to work with 1031 Capital Solutions’ operations team to collect documentation from clients and brokers and provide support and resolution of investment-related inquiries.

In 2021, 1031 Capital Solutions completed 175 investment transactions with 14 Delaware statutory trust sponsors representing more than $140 million in real estate value. The team facilitated client investments across all major commercial real estate sectors including multifamily, industrial, medical office, net lease and self-storage properties. In addition to offering investment programs that qualify for 1031 exchanges, the firm also focuses on qualified opportunity zones, real estate growth and income funds, energy programs, private credit funds and other alternative investments.
