Industry Veteran Jamie Price Named CEO of Advisor Group

Advisor Group, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks, appointed Jamie Price as chief executive officer and member of the board of directors. He will report to the board’s executive chairman, Valerie Brown.

Prior to joining Advisor Group, he was the head of wealth management advisor group Americas at UBS, and was responsible for North American client-facing businesses. He also served as president and chief operating officer of Prudential Securities.

“This is a time of dramatic change and disruption in the financial advice business. Across our industry, advisors are adapting to a landscape that is shifting beneath their feet,” said executive chairman Valerie Brown. “We know Jamie is the right leader for the future of Advisor Group because he is a long-standing champion of financial advisors and sees how they can turn this moment into a tremendous growth opportunity.”

In August, Erica McGinnis stepped down from her role as president and CEO of Advisor Group after the network was sold to private equity firm Lightyear Capital and Canadian pension manager PSP Investments.

Advisor Group is comprised of four firms: FSC Securities Corp., Royal Alliance Associates Inc., SagePoint Financial Inc. and Woodbury Financial Services Inc. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, the company has 5,000 affiliated independent financial advisors across the U.S and $160 billion in client assets.
