GPB Capital Hires Goldman Sachs Alumn to Head of Capital Markets

GPB Capital, a New York-based asset management firm, has hired Anisha Malhotra as a managing director and head of capital markets. She is based in GPB Capital’s New York office and reports to managing partner and chief financial officer Macrina Kgil.

As a member of GPB capital’s accounting and finance team, Malhotra is responsible for handling all debt financing needs across the firm’s portfolio of operating companies. Her role will be focused on leading the firm’s capital markets activities, including structuring and executing acquisition financings, refinancings, and amendments for GPB Capital’s operating companies.

“We remain committed to enhancing operations, collaboration, and engagement throughout our organization as we continue to grow,” said David Gentile, founder and CEO of GPB Capital. “Anisha’s wide range of debt financing expertise will help us place our income-producing, middle-market operating companies in a stronger position to achieve their long-term goals. Her insights also enable us and our operating company partners to potentially deliver greater distributions to the investors who directly benefit from their success.”

Prior to joining GPB Capital, Malhotra spent more than 10 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a senior member of the firm’s debt underwriting group. She started her career at JPMorgan Chase, where she helped identify acquisition targets and formulate international strategy for the firm.

GPB Capital, which focuses on income-producing private equity, has more than $1 billion in assets under management and has acquired or invested in more than 70 portfolio companies.
