Geoffrey Flahardy Appointed Director of 1031 Exchange Trade Organization

The Federation of Exchange Accommodators, a national trade organization representing qualified intermediaries and those involved in 1031 exchanges, has appointed Geoffrey Flahardy to serve on its board of directors and as chair of the affiliate committee.

Flahardy currently serves as the national accounts director for ExchangeRight Real Estate, a real estate firm specializing in 1031 exchanges with $900 million in assets under management.

Before joining ExchangeRight in 2014, he spent 14 years at Inland Securities Corporation where he held a number of roles including regional 1031 exchange manager and internal wholesaler for California, Arizona, and Hawaii. While at Inland, he was eventually promoted to private placement specialist and was responsible for providing sales support and education to wholesalers, financial advisors, and broker-dealers.

Flahardy graduated from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in communication and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Formed in 1989, the Federation of Exchange Accommodators is a national trade organization formed to represent qualified intermediaries, their primary legal/tax advisors, and affiliates who are directly involved in Section 1031 exchanges.
