DST Sponsor Hires a CFO

Sponsor of Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs) ExchangeRight Real Estate, recently hired a new chief financial officer.  Dave Van Steenis, CPA, joined the company from Kaufman Jabobs, a Chicago-based real estate investment firm, where he served as a senior associate for four years.

In an announcement, ExchangeRight commented, “[Dave] comes very highly recommended with a concentrated background in real estate, finance, and accounting—a very complementary fit with ExchangeRight’s current operations and growth path.”

Prior to Kaufman Jacobs, Van Steenis spent four years as a senior associate with KPMG, a provider of audit, tax, and advisory services.

ExchangeRight, formed in 2012, manages approximately $250 million in assets invested across 113 properties in 25 states.
