36 Year Old Earns CFO Role for Multiple Cole NTRs

Three of Cole Capital’s non-traded REITs received a new treasurer and chief financial officer in the form of Simon J. Misselbrook. Earlier this month he was appointed CFO and treasurer of Cole Real Estate Income Strategy, Cole Credit Property Trust IV, Inc, and Cole Credit Property Trust V, replacing D. Kirk McAllaster, Jr. on all three accounts.

Mr. Misselbrook, 36, has worked in the real estate industry for over 13 years, with nine of those years dedicated to REITs.

Since joining Cole Capital in November 2010, Mr. Misselbrook has served in various positions for a number of Cole Capital’s sponsored programs. At varying intervals he has served as senior vice president of accounting and principal accounting officer for Cole Real Estate Income Strategy, Cole Credit Property Trust, Cole Credit Property Trust II, Cole Real Estate Investments (formerly Cole Credit Property Trust III), Cole Credit Property Trust IV, and Cole Credit Property Trust IV.

Prior to joining Cole Capital, he was audit manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Los Angeles.

Mr. Misselbrook has his bachelor’s degree in accounting and tax, and a master’s degree in accounting science, from the University of South Africa. He is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in the state of California), a Chartered Accountant (licensed in South Africa, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also participates in the Investment Program Association’s Non-Traded REIT Financial Standards Sub-Committee.
